 Old Nancy seems to be limping her way ever closer to her goal of 216. I honestly didn’t think it was possible to dismantle a presidency so quickly. Especially one that was so popular, so charismatic, so full of undiluted awesome sauce. I understand he hasn’t had any real experience running anything. Not a business, not a state, not a lemonade stand. But for gosh sakes… he’s got advisers, doesn’t he??? [...]  While at an appearance in Green Bay yesterday, President Obama used the opportunity to continue to push for his giant, bloated, government-run health care enslavement program. The Dems are mulling over different ways to pay for the enormous Orwellian health care reform we are all supposedly so anxious for. There were also some proposals to add fees onto employers, taxes onto soda, and other equally foolish plans. None of these ideas will be able to generate nearly enough money, of course, [...] 
European parliament elections are taking place, and there’s some interesting goings-on over there. Tax and spend, big government lefties are getting slapped around pretty hard. Conservatives raced toward victory in some of Europe‘s largest economies Sunday as initial results and exit polls showed voters punishing left-leaning parties in European parliament elections in France, Germany and [...] 
Yeah, yeah… I know. You thought you heard you weren’t going to be seeing a dime more in taxes. But like some Jedi mind trick, Obama Wan Kenobi will wave his hand and make you forget that ever happened. It’s old news, but it’s good to get these bad ideas circulating as much as possible, so everyone can see them. I was having a discussion with someone I consider to be fairly well-informed, and she was surprised there was even any talk of a soda tax, so while it’s in the news we might as well [...] 
Not super swell news for the long-term prospects of our economy. I keep hearing that we’ve “bottomed-out”, which I’m guessing many of the economists and journalists want to see happen because the Savior-in-Chief has to have his economic policies and wild spending sprees vindicated. But so far the evidence doesn’t appear to be there: Housing starts plunged [...] 
I have some conservative friends who say they can still respect their friends on the left, no matter what views they hold. Does it make me a really bad person if I can’t respect my leftist friends? I mean, really, there’s some things that are so basic, so common sense, that if you can’t grasp them, [...] |
