One moment, the liberal commenters on his NYT posts call him a crazed right-winger, and the next moment republican commenters are saying he’s a radical leftist media-type. You’ve gotta’ hand it to the libs… they play hardball. When they step out on to the field, it’s no-nonsense, winner-take-all. They don’t sweat things like your freedom, or the democratic process that’s served us well for the past, oh, two hundred or so years. In an interesting clip from YouTube, via Hot Air, freshman senator Michael Bennet tells his constituents where they can shove it with one easy word. “Yes.” So, Jeopardy-style, what’s the question for this answer? “If every piece of evidence tells you if you support that bill, you will lose your job… would you cast the vote and lose your [...]  Thankfully, new polling seems to suggest America agrees, at least a little, with the Gulch about how really miserable this cash for clunkers program is, in spite of some sources hailing it as an ”inarguable success. ” Ostroy at the Huffington Post calls it a “recession-busting program,” which is something we probably need to share with the recession, [...] 
I honestly didn’t think it was possible to dismantle a presidency so quickly. Especially one that was so popular, so charismatic, so full of undiluted awesome sauce. I understand he hasn’t had any real experience running anything. Not a business, not a state, not a lemonade stand. But for gosh sakes… he’s got advisers, doesn’t he??? [...] 
European parliament elections are taking place, and there’s some interesting goings-on over there. Tax and spend, big government lefties are getting slapped around pretty hard. Conservatives raced toward victory in some of Europe‘s largest economies Sunday as initial results and exit polls showed voters punishing left-leaning parties in European parliament elections in France, Germany and [...]  Usually the way these things go is that a general idea gets support, but when the actual specifics come out, popularity begins to sink. Not so, apparently, with the idea of health care reform, where 54% of Americans are opposed to having their taxes raised for it right out of the gate. I would have assumed [...] 
A very interesting article from Gallup this morning. A new Gallup Poll, conducted May 7-10, finds 51% of Americans calling themselves “pro-life” on the issue of abortion and 42% “pro-choice.” I didn’t see this coming.
