The Dems are mulling over different ways to pay for the enormous Orwellian health care reform we are all supposedly so anxious for. There were also some proposals to add fees onto employers, taxes onto soda, and other equally foolish plans. None of these ideas will be able to generate nearly enough money, of course, [...] 
It’s old news, but it’s good to get these bad ideas circulating as much as possible, so everyone can see them. I was having a discussion with someone I consider to be fairly well-informed, and she was surprised there was even any talk of a soda tax, so while it’s in the news we might as well [...]  Usually the way these things go is that a general idea gets support, but when the actual specifics come out, popularity begins to sink.
