Palin showed up for a brief fund raiser for Wisconsin Right to Life Education Fund on Friday night. Are you sitting down? Ready? He doesn’t care what you think about health care. Yup. That’s right. Just 41% of voters nationwide now favor the health care reform proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s down two points from a week ago and the lowest level of support yet measured. 41% of voters. That’s… not much. Especially for such [...]  Pretty bad. The Dems are mulling over different ways to pay for the enormous Orwellian health care reform we are all supposedly so anxious for. There were also some proposals to add fees onto employers, taxes onto soda, and other equally foolish plans. None of these ideas will be able to generate nearly enough money, of course, [...] 
It’s old news, but it’s good to get these bad ideas circulating as much as possible, so everyone can see them. I was having a discussion with someone I consider to be fairly well-informed, and she was surprised there was even any talk of a soda tax, so while it’s in the news we might as well [...]  Usually the way these things go is that a general idea gets support, but when the actual specifics come out, popularity begins to sink. Not so, apparently, with the idea of health care reform, where 54% of Americans are opposed to having their taxes raised for it right out of the gate. I would have assumed [...] |
