 Greece continues their meltdown. Here’s the summary: “OMG we’re brokage!” “OMG there’s gonna be cuts!” “OMG OMG don’t cut my stuff, dammit!” And there you have it. She swears she’s got the votes to get this done, and probably by tomorrow afternoon, barring some other delay, we’ll know whether it’s still safe to get sick in this country or not. But with them so close to their goal, we [...]  For the past few months, we’ve had the opportunity to watch the people of Greece participate in a near-freefall of their economy and social system. There’s riots and protests and flaming bottles and overturned cars and heads stomped by horses. And while I don’t think they’re nice enough to be doing all of this for [...]  It’s coming. The Coen brothers have apparently decided to move on from the mostly incomprehensible Cormac McCarthy to American icons. European parliament elections are taking place, and there’s some interesting goings-on over there. Tax and spend, big government lefties are getting slapped around pretty hard. Conservatives raced toward victory in some of Europe‘s largest economies Sunday as initial results and exit polls showed voters punishing left-leaning parties in European parliament elections in France, Germany and [...]  I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve seen this.
